How can I be sure to receive payment for my items?

Payment for your product is received by Press Life before you are emailed a Notice to Ship.  Be sure to check the Pending Orders section of "My Account/My Parts Submitted" on our Website to confirm the email Notice to Ship is correct.   As long as you ship the correct part or product and it is in the condition you described you should not have a problem with the Buyer returning your item(s).  Payment will be sent to you according to the time table contained in the "Receiving Payment" section of the Market Instructions.

Why are your commission rates higher than auction or other sites?

Press Life is not an auction site.  Unlike an auction site, we do not simply advertise your product for sale online and leave you to handle collecting payment yourself.  We use our expertise in both online payment processing and Heidelberg press parts to ensure safe, reliable transactions for our members.  Because we fulfill these additional duties, both our risks and operating costs increase so we must balance our charges to reflect this.

I don't have a picture of my item(s), can I submit it anyway?

No, we require a picture to be submitted.  It is in everyone's best interest to see exactly what is being offered for sale.  The picture is extremely useful to the Buyer in deciding if your item(s) for sale matches the item(s) the Buyer needs.  Remember,  the Buyer has a right to return any item(s) bought through Press Life for any reason.  The Seller's best defense against needless returns is to accurately represent the item(s) for sale.

What should I charge for my item(s)

Before you decide to sell an item, you should know what the manufacturer is charging for it.  From that point, you will need to decide how much to discount your item(s).  Press Life provides the Seller with a Recommended Discount Table in the "How to Price to Sell" section in the Market Instructions.  Remember, you will need to include the cost of packaging materials if required.

Why does the Buyer ship returned items to Press Life and not directly to the Seller?

For Press Life to grant a refund, we must personally verify the item is being returned and the reason for the return.  The Seller is responsible for the remainder of the shipping cost from Press Life's location to the Seller.  This procedure is in place to positively verify return of goods from the Buyer before granting a refund and to protect the Seller from loss of goods.

Why must I pay for shipping of returned items?

The unfortunate consequence of protecting both Press Life and the Seller by positively verifying return of goods is a shipping charge to the Seller in the event of a return.  Although this step increases shipping costs related to returns, the procedure is effective in reducing the potential for fraud when using our services.

Why must I submit a Shipment Notice to Press Life?

The online Shipment Notice form is a very simple and quick form to fill out and is required for the Seller to receive timely payment.  As the Seller, you must ship the item/s within 2 business days of the Notice to Ship.  If you do not submit the Shipment Notice to Press Life within the shipping deadline, the Buyer is entitled to a full refund of the purchase price and the Seller will not be paid.  Upon this occurrence the Sellers listed ad may also be removed.
