Repairs

At Press Life, we combine our technical expertise with our extensive parts resources to provide you with quality repairs at substantial savings to you.  We understand the importance of spending the time troubleshooting the problem before the technician arrives.  This allows us get parts ordered and waiting for the technician prior to his arrival.  Many times this step alone can save you an extra day of downtime on your machine.

Tips to reduce service call expenses:

  1) Try to give as complete and accurate description of the problem as possible.
  2) Ask if there are any parts you should order before the technician arrives.
  3) Get an estimate of the time required to complete the repair.
  4) Try to schedule non-emergency repairs to keep labor hours between 8:00am and 5:00pm.
    a) Charges for extra per diem and travel time overtime usually will cost less then equivalent labor overtime charges.
    b) Most companies perform warranty repairs during these hours at no charge.
  5) If any catwalks, covers or guards need to be removed for the repair, have the pressman or in-house maintenance remove them.  (It will cost you more to have the technician remove them)
  6) Have a written list of all requested repairs to be completed.
